Judy has painted from an early age and is predominantly self-taught. Meeting Tim Wilson, one of New Zealand's most acclaimed landscape artists in 2009 changed her life. After viewing some of her paintings Tim offered to mentor her and help take her work to another level.

"Learning from the “Master of Light" himself, Tim was such an inspiration to me, generously sharing his invaluable techniques that I know would have taken him many years to perfect. He taught me to be more confident and bold when painting with oils, that there are no shortcuts to an amazing painting. Contemplation and composition are vital before I set to paint. The amazing years spent with Tim enabled her paintings to get to the level where they featured in his own exclusive gallery in Queenstown. As the value of Judy's paintings increased, so has her global profile, and her work is becoming highly sought after in New Zealand and abroad.

Judy draws her inspiration from her beautiful surroundings and nature itself and whatever ignites the joy within her every day. She uses the best quality oil pigments and handmade berge linen canvasses as each painting is a one-off individual piece.
